We don’t know if we need Ceiling fixtures with Flush mounts or Semi flush mounts.

Our builder told us to go pick out Ceiling fixtures and we can't remember if he told us to buy Flush mounts or Semi flush mounts. It doesn't look like there’s that big of a difference, but I'm sure he told us one specifically for a reason. We really don't want to have to make a trip back if we buy the wrong ones, but we can't get a hold of him right now. My husband isn't going to be the only one frustrated if we buy the wrong Ceiling fixtures. We're just not sure if we should buy the Flush mounts or the Semi flush mounts.
